Most Anticipated of 2024

My Most Anticipated Albums of 2024

Oh there are so many artists that I'm hoping release something in 2024 and a lot of them have been teasing stuff. Here's a few that I'd like to point out. Most of them haven't really announced their albums but it doesn't mean I'm not excited for the release, Here's a few I expect to release stuff this year

O Grilo

With the album having been finished since August 2023, it is expected that release should be happening sooner than later for my favourite Brazilian band, after a literally perfect debut in Você Não Sabe De Nada I expect nothing but peak from the quartet, who have released a single with São Paulo artist MC Bin Laden, while I didn't like the track as much as I would've liked to, it's cool to see the band moving to newer horizons, like they are known to do.

Car Seat Headrest

Another band that have started teasing their new album is Car Seat Headrest. After touring "To Make a Door Less Open" and releasing a live album from that tour, it's been announced that the band has been in the thick of working on their next project. their latest resulted in mixed opinions, from myself included, but it's undeniable the greatness of projects like Teens of Denial and Twin Fantasy. I'm looking forward to see what the band has in store for us next.

Billie Eilish

Since half of 2023 and the release of "What Was I Made For" for the Barbie Soundtrack, Billie and Finneas have been teasing their new album to follow up the magnificent sophomore "Happier Than Ever. The singer and producer duo have teased that the album will lead to a more gothic/rock direction, which really excited me and most of the public, considering the rock inspired anthem "Happier Than Ever" was an absolute banger. Finneas said around december that the album was reportedly "85% done", so I'd expect a release for mid-late 2024 (hopefully)

Twenty One Pilots

Teased by trusty producer Paul Meany on insta back in August, the duo is set to return some time in 2024. Back in the release of Scaled And Icy, Tyler said that he had two albums ready, one that was brighter and more colourful and the other one was far darker and ominous. The brighter one was Scaled and Icy, which was received to mixed opinions (I personally liked it a lot). Tyler also said that SAI's "Redecorate" would be a good theme setter for the follow-up... With all that information in mind, it does seem weird that it's taking them so long to put the seemingly finishing touches on the record...

I Don't Know How But They Found Me - Gloom Division

Already announced and teased, IDKHow's second album is looking to be phenomenal, following the 1984 EP and debut album Razzmatazz. I love those disco infused indie rock bangers and the very interesting storyline that comes with the band.

Frank Ocean

With a single 1 minute teaser Frank Ocean turned the internet berserk out of expectation back in november, the artist whose last release was in 2016 with the visual album Endless, and last public appearence was kind of a disaster with week 1 Coachella, is despite all, beloved by the community due to his 2 classics, Channel ORANGE and Blonde. Take your time, King.

Ariana Grande

Spending most of her time the last couple of years working on the musical for "Wicked" and some cheating scandals didn't stop the pop princess from working on a new album, it's been teased for a while now and even the Apple emojis seem to be indicating something of the sort... We'll have to wait to see what Ariana has in store for us, until then.

Beabadoobee

Beatopia was my favourite album of 2022. That's all you really need to know. Also "the way things go" is gonna be on the record and that's such a cute track with great aesthetics, she's been teasing new music pretty much since the release of Beatopia, besides the way things go she also released Glue Song, which later got a feature with Clairo, and A Night To Remember with Laufey.

Other artists I'm expecting albums from in 2024 go as follow:

  • Tame Impala
  • Clara Bicho
  • Dua Lipa
  • Alessia Cara
  • JPEGMafia
  • Tyler, The Creator?
  • My Chemical Romance?
  • Kero Kero Bonito?
  • The Weeknd?
  • Rihanna?
